Presenting at the University of Sydney Senate Luncheon

On Friday 27 June 2025, I had the privilege of presenting one of our youth mental health research projects (Right care, first time, where you live) at the University of Sydney Senate Luncheon and Western Sydney Showcase, held at the Westmead Innovation Centre.

This event brought together members of the University Senate, researchers, and stakeholders to highlight key initiatives taking place in the Western Sydney region. It was a pleasure to showcase the systems modelling work led by the Brain and Mind Centre, focusing on how we can enhance youth mental health outcomes through evidence-informed decision support tools, locally tailored strategies.

I was encouraged by the number of meaningful conversations I had with attendees who showed genuine interest in our work. Many Senate members expressed appreciation for the depth and relevance of the case studies presented and gained a stronger understanding of the research and impact unfolding in the region.

Thank you to the organising team for making this valuable event possible. It was a great opportunity to represent our team and connect with leaders committed to making a difference across Western Sydney.
