Teaching

I completely believe that “While we teach, we learn”; accordingly, I always try to design my courses as a learning environment in which we (students and I) are actively engaged in a learning procedure interactively.

Moreover, I frequently present real-world examples in the classroom and encourage students to apply the tools and techniques we learnt to a real-world problem so that they can complete the learning process a step further.
I have been teaching in different academic institutions where I, as a casual academic, have offered different courses for undergraduate and graduate students (so far, I have offered more than 30 courses in universities (i.e. system dynamics modelling, systems thinking for managers, economics and finance for engineering projects, energy systems engineering (economic analysis of energy systems), management principals, business plan, etc.)).
In addition, I have considerable experience in holding organizational training workshops (mainly for the public sector) where I tried to utilize customized content for each organization to improve trainee engagement and workshop effectiveness (so far, I have held more than 55 workshops for public and private institutions (system dynamics modelling (with Vensim Software), implementing systems thinking in organizations, technology roadmap, etc.)).
Furthermore, I do have experience in educational multimedia content production as well as writing educational books (in Persian so far and available in my CV). I also have been an advisor or supervisor of more than 15 MSc thesis and PhD dissertations.
