I’m thrilled to co-organise a session with Professor Sondoss Elsawah at MODSIM2025, under the stream “Participatory decision making, socioecological systems, and education”.
Session Title
Advancing System Dynamics Modelling: Integrating Emerging Technologies and Participatory Approaches for Enhanced Decision Support in Social Systems
This session explores how System Dynamics can evolve through participatory practices and integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Inteligence (AI) and Machine Learning. Weโll dive into the challenges and opportunities these innovations bring for enhancing stakeholder engagement, improving model usability, and supporting better decision-making in complex social systems.
๐ I invite you to submit an abstract (max 2 pages) or a full paper (max 7 pages) to our special session:
๐น Full paper deadline: 15 August 2025
๐น Abstract deadline: 27 August 2025
๐ MODSIM2025 will be held in Adelaide, 30 November โ 4 December 2025.

This session is a collaborative effort between The Oceania Chapter of the System Dynamics Society, represented by Dr. Hossein Hosseini, and The Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc. (MSSANZ), represented by Professor Sondoss El Sawah. It aims to foster knowledge exchange across modelling communities, highlight innovative applications, and explore how emerging technologies are shaping the future of system dynamics in socio-economic decision-making.

Letโs learn Systems Modelling together!
I share useful information about Systems Modelling here weekly.
